Oh, what a desperately pathetic surprise! Fresh from his court case, David Hasselhoff couldn’t use the time to divulge info on his divorce so he used media attention over his divorce and, ultimately, the age old “heartbreaking” and “heartwrenching” tape of him drunk on the floor to publicize his book and TV show.

But, it’s sort of stupid to get all astounded at his audacity at his point when the whole drunk tape thing was so obviously deliberate. So, when you think about it, he’s ridden the wave from drunk video, divorce scandal and then now court case to promotion of book and TV. It’s a rough road to anything at all when you’re the Hoff.[source]
