Today in Extraordinarily Odd

A couple from the US has just paid $160,000 to have herring, cabbage and vodka with Mikhail Gorbachev for charity. From what I’ve read, eating dinner with Gorbachev is like eating dinner with your picky, angsty aunt who won’t eat or enjoy anything. He was spotted in Miami in early October sending every dish he was presented with back to the kitchen. Sounds like a riot of an evening. There’s be less chance of abuse if they’d simply done the logical thing and ordered 116 of the 1000 dollar bagels. No one would have been hurt that way. [source]

The Foreign Ministers for both Germany and France are currently planning on recording an R and B song together. Bernard Kouchner and Frank-Walter Steinmeier will be recorded in Berlin on Monday on the sidelines of a Franco-German summit, which will focus on European integration. This is the second one of these type deals in the past two weeks. Why, only last week Former Indonesia President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono announced he was about to release an album. Is this the Spears legacy? Everyone has to somehow adhere to pop culture on this level to be relevant now? Regardless, I’m hoping they re-enact duet work like “Promiscuous Girl” by Timbaland and Nelly Furtado. Promiscuous Girl would be a lovely piece to hear by the foreign ministers. [source]
