In what can only be considered one of the most dramatic and appropriate ways for a drag queen to die, Joan Montegracia channeled the artistic ghost of Andy Kauffman, walked out on stage, picked up the mic and dropped to the ground - electrocuted as a result of a small puddle and some faulty wiring in the microphone.The crowd cheered as they thought it was part of the show but Joan was actually and tragically dead.
A spokesperson for the competition in Manila said they were still trying to figure out the identity of the performer which leads on to perhaps the most pressing question of all:
What kind of filing system is used by that International Drag Festival in Caloocan City that they can't ascertain the names of their contestants and at what point will a proper admin assistant be hired?
