Lance Armstrong sent one of his twin girls to school with Ashley Olsen so she could present for “show and tell” about Ashley Olsen. Apart from the fact that Ashley Olsen and Lance Armstrong haven’t really been dating that long which makes this child interaction thing kind of inane, what exactly would the class have been shown and told?
“Hi everyone, here’s Ashley Olsen. She’s kind of dead looking now and if you’ll listen, I’ll kick her and you will hear the rattling of her corporately owned soul as it bounces about her metallic insides. When she was younger she was a famous baby on TV as you would have expected. Any questions?”
But the thing is, these rich Manhattan kids like Armstrong’s kids are pretty fucked up. They grow up really fast because of how weird it is with famous or workaholic parents who aren’t home and so while they’ve got a really huge apartment, they’re often insane. New York kids at say, 8 are like a 13 year old anywhere else. Plus, why are kids so freaking smart nowadays. They know everything and they’re all rational. Kids aren’t afraid of monsters and crap anymore, they’re talking about blue chip shares, the glass ceiling and therapy. I mean, New York kids are.
So, in short – for whatever reason, Lance Armstrong’s kid will probably grow up to be a genius/homicidal maniac. One questions that remains unanswered is, did Olsen actually know she was being shown and told about? Was she fully aware? Mentally? Or did she just go to her zone and stand there, dull. Actually, Mary-Kate is really good Weeds even though she more or less plays herself but Christian. [source]
