Mark Kostabis, sculptor to the Church, is conveniently seeing religious visions at the moment and it’s just in time as well. He’s about to go and meet the pope who is to unveil his latest sculpture. How incredibly lucky for him that he’s been having a series of visions that no one else can see or qualify but that endlessly bring attention like this item from the New York Post to his new sculpture. How absolutely coincidental and convenient and also, virtuous and heavenly. There really is a God. [source]
In a staggering display of how weird and passive aggressive it can be to be upper middle class and white in the north east of the US, a professor at MIT shot himself and then blamed it on two masked gunmen whom he insisted had been arranged by his son – just to get back at him for what it’s not entirely clear. It’s entirely reasonable, however, to suggest that it had something to do with something that happened 20 years ago while the family were on vacation in Cape Cod. Something to do with a rental boat and someone taking too much of the sliced ham and not leaving any for the rest of the family. There was only so much available and someone was greedy and that’s just not fair of everyone else. [source]
