Anyone who's eaten in England will know that it's not really the best place to go for food unless you're talking about Indian food or high end haute cuisine. In fact, when you get down to it the basis for English culture in general is more or less just a hundred thousand years of complaining.
That's why it's doesn't come as a surprise that approximately two thirds of the English think that Arrabiata, the pasta sauce, is actually an STD you can catch. And who knows, at the level you're working at in England food wise, maybe it is.
