Stupid, fat, lazy, culturally myopic people planning on visiting the Forbidden City in China any time soon should get their skates on because Starbucks is being threatened with ousting from within the former home to China's son of Heaven and after that the safety net of Global MTV chain culture insidethe Forbidden City's walls will be pretty scarce.
Who knows how Starbucks managed to get past not only the Chinese Government but also inside the walls of a listed historical site which was used to house the Emperor of China. Plus, Starbucks also managed to get past the fate suffered by KFC when they moved into the Forbidden City. KFC was forced out after protests by locals who said they were culturall insulted.
They don't call it the Forbidden City for nothing.
